WWOOF With US

Have you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to stay on a working smallholding? Do you like the idea of working with animals, learning how to grow crops, and live more sustainably. Perhaps you are thinking of downscaling to a quieter, more self sufficient lifestyle and are looking to buy a farm of your own but want to experience the lifestyle first?

Then come and WWOOF with us!

There are always lots of projects to get involved with here at The Edible Garden Co., like setting up straw-bale raised beds and building a polytunnel, clearing ground, sowing, planting and harvesting.

Other jobs include looking after the chickens and ducks, working with the sheep, goats and pigs as well as general maintenance.

WWOOFer Reviews

"I spent two wonderful weeks with Mark and Julia. They are very attentive and welcoming hosts, warm and understanding. Mark is a two-legged encyclopaedia and is very patient, especially with my somewhat difficult English. He taught me so much about the animals and the garden, as well as about Welsh culture and rugby! 😁 The work is varied et always interesting. Julia is an incredible artist and showed me how to weave. The food is delicious and the house is very comfortable and welcoming. I loved my stay on this farm with these wonderful people. It was an unforgettable experience! I recommend this farm 200%. Thank you so much for everything!"
As a complete beginner I couldn't have asked for a better first time WWOOF experience. Mark & Julia welcomed me into their day to day - keen to give as much exposure to small holding life as possible. There were a variety of tasks at both the market garden and out with the animals, all in such a beautiful setting. They are great hosts - friendly, very knowledgeable, patient & encouraging. I'd definitely recommend spending time with the edible garden company if you're exploring this way of life. loved it.
200% recommendation: I came to a very cosy house and met a lovely couple. Mark and Julia are PERFECT hosts, very caring, making you feel welcome and at home instantly. I helped feeding sheep and pigs, we sowed, transplanted and watered vegetables and tried to do the pop master quiz 🙂 I was out and about with Mark enjoying the lovely Welsh countryside and getting less and less anxious about the narrow lanes. Mark and Julia had good and quite a few recommendations for things to do on days off and they were happy to take me to the train station to go to Tenby and the Botanic Garden. Two weeks went by way too quick. I had a great time and I'm sure I'll come back.
I had a great time with Mark and Julia who were so welcoming of me into their home and life, and such warm and friendly people. The work was varied and at a very relaxed pace, and the home cooked meals were fantastic. The farm house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and just a lovely place to be. I would definitely recommend volunteering here!
Mark and Julia are great hosts! They taught us so much - we got involved with lambing, erecting a polytunnel, seed sowing, transplanting, caring for animals, learning about No Dig food production, spinning and weaving wool. They were generous in sharing their home, and the food was fantastic. Its given us a great taste of small holder life. Carmarthenshire is a stunningly beautiful area with plenty to see and visit in the area. We'd whole-heartedly recommend them to future Wwoofers.
I would thoroughly recommend wwoofing with the Edible Garden Company. Mark and Julia were so friendly, welcoming and generous - great hosts! Although the weather was iffy during my stay there was a variety of things to help out with and it was so helpful and inspirational to just absorb some of their wisdom on all aspects of smallholding (as well as the rules of rugby). Beautiful location and they're great cooks too!
