Founded in 1971, WWOOF was is one of the world’s first educational and cultural exchange programs. Today, WWOOF is in more than 132 countries around the world and still growing.

WWOOF is a cultural and educational program focused on sustainable agriculture. Visitors, or ‘WWOOFers’, share in daily life with their host and learn about organic farming and sustainability while spending about half of each day helping out on a farm. Hosts offer accommodation and meals to visitors, with no money exchanged between hosts and WWOOFers.

WWOOF brings people together from diverse corners of the world who share similar values and philosophies, and provides them with a new connection to a fresh and vibrant community.

Becoming a WWOOF member means you agree to the values of the WWOOF Charter.

If you sign up as a WWOOFer, you will be able to contact the hosts in the United Kingdom and plan your stay with them online. WWOOFing is a way to learn practical farming skills, be part of the organic agriculture movement, and experience the heart of its culture.

Do you have a rural project? Becoming a host allows you to stay open to the world by hosting WWOOFers from all walks of life. It’s also an opportunity to receive physical and moral support for your agricultural project and exchange ideas, values, and knowledge.
