Fresh and organic vegetables in the gardenThe garden has not been used for growing vegetables since it was the kitchen garden for the manor house many years ago and so (as far as we have discovered) there aren’t any currently growing there.  As vegetables are the staple foods in our own diet we will be growing a huge variety of vegetables including potatoes, carrots, parsnips, swedes, turnips, leeks, onions, kale, spinach, squash, pumpkins, garlic, beans, peas, sprouts….and anything else that takes our fancy!

Our aim is to establish a veg box scheme in the local area, as well as providing food for our own family.  Although we are not ‘officially’ organic, all of the growing principles we adopt exclude the use of pesticides, insecticides and synthetic chemicals of any kind.
